Playing Music in Karamea

Hey people of Karamea! We would be keen as to come and play in your neck of the woods if you reckon it would be something you would be into! We played recently in Franz Josef and it was great! Heave heard good things about Granity Theatre.. Who do we contact to inquire about this possibility? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

TAOS

TAOS? As in The Art Of Sound? The same TAOS who rocked my 21st on Waiheke Island in the Summer of '02?

It's Irish Ben here. Ye stayed with us in Arrowtown on yer South Island tour back in the day. Could be that the circle has completed and it's time to come and stay/play again. Granity Theatre is a cool venue but still a bit of a spin from Karamea. When ye planning on being here?

Irish Ben!? The same Irish Ben who came and stayed with me & Nina in Edinburgh? The Circle is bigger than you first thought my friend. This is Sam, Manager then, manager again..

This leaves no doubt that it IS time to come and play and stay once more.. Ignoring the signs is not something we would like to make a habit of..

We are thinkig the first weekend of March my friend.. as part of our NZ tour.. Have heard good things about Granity, and we feel much west coast love at the moment, maybe we could get a good crowd in there?

Otherwise well keen to hear your thoughts on options.

Cheers heaps mate, great to hear from ya

Sam I am, here I am; Irish Ben yer only man.

It's me alright. Well how about that? Tis a funny ol world. We're based in Karamea so you guys are all welcome to come and crash before/after the gig. The Granity theatre would probably be yer best indoor venue north of Westport but if ye're keen on an open air gig there's any amount of venues around Karamea that are custom made for your style. The most recent gig at Granity theatre was run by the Karamea Sound Machine and the guys involved will be in on these messages so the ball is already rolling.

Check the Karamea Sound Machine December newsletter posted under 'articles' on this website. The February festival could be right up yer street.

I'll spread the word man, classic, absolutely classic.

Later TAOS.

Hey mate! Awesome info, and if Karamea Sound Machine & Organik_Audio are running tings in Feb its got the quality control of the highest level. Sounds like the kinda festival worth completely re shuffling a tour around, will have a word to Haz, see whether the live sound is something he lookin for.. Otherwise will stick to March to give you people time to recover! Haha..

Choice one will keep the link.. This is a great Community Website bigups to the creators.. No doubt it will keep the movements common knowledge but yes my brother a hand in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated..

All the best for the festive season bruv and all you Karameans.. Look forward to singing with ya soon.

Hi TAOS,

Harry has just contacted me about you guys playing in February... if that does not work out we are keen to collaborate with you to make something magic happen in Karamea... but I hope you can be a part of the Febraury event!

What date in March are you thinking? And do you want to do something indoors or out?

Awesome you guys putting it out there : )
