Starting friendly project for all of us

Hello lovely people!

_Who wants to look at money diferently_?

We are looking at Karamea as the community it is and because of that we are starting a new currency system in Karamea, with the idea to extend to Westport, Greymouth, Hokitika, all the little towns between and end with all of the west coast.
A proposed name for the new currency is SEED. Some Energy Exchange Donation. :-) because seeds are a great symbol for something alive and growing like people.
This would operate like a H.A.N.D.S., currency from Golden Bay and like TWIN currency from Nelson or like Talent currency from Motueka.
It would stimulate more connection between people in our area. There is a system already connecting communities around the world which host the internet system for free Community Ex-change System (CES) http://www.ces.org.za/

This would be a FREE service.

You don’t need any seeds to start trading. Every seed is gonna be created in any transaction. Money in these systems is a retrospective ‘score-keeping’ that keeps a record of who did what for whom and who sold what to whom. There can therefore never be a shortage of money and money does not have to be created by a third party outside the circuit of buyers and sellers. For this reason money and credit are free, for the buyers and sellers 'create' it at the moment of trade.
What do you need to start? Everything you can offer. Your skills and your goods.

You can check the demonstration site: http://www.ces.org.za/demo/index.htm Take your time to understand how it works and contact with us if you have any doubt or any suggestions. We also are thinking to do soon some meeting to talk about it.

We would like your feedback on this project we all are starting together.

We can use the global gypsy gallery as a base for this project and anyone without internet connections can lodge their trades at gallery for updating.

I would aslo look at making purchases at gallery have a green doller component so that possibly we could look at 50% of non food transactions could be cash and the rest in SEEDS which would give folk a place to buy a gift if needed.

I would love to be able to offer half on organic foods as well howeever most of the food only has a 20% markup so its not really possible as i have to pay cash to buy the food.

Because i do not live full time in karamea i cannot really be the administrator as it really needs someone here but i am happy to start this if someone wants to run with it

This is a cool idea, I wonder if any more thought was put into this process?
